About
Perfect Pottery
The Potty Painting Studio was set up by Barbara and Andy in November 2019 when they decided that working in the big city was getting too much, opening the studio has given them more quality time with their children, as well as making a difference to the local community in Ongar with a family orientated and friendly place.
We love hosting painting sessions on and off the premises, so please contact us if you would like us to come to you for a workshop

HOW DOES IT WORK?

choose your piece
Firstly take a blank bisque from the shelves. You can pick from a wide range of ceramics from models to plates to vases and seasonal items…
Get your paint on
Secondly paint the ceramic with a design of your choosing using our underglaze ceramic paints. Remember the colour of the paint will become more vibrant when it goes in the kiln…
let us work our magic
And last but not least we then glaze and fire you’re ceramic in the kiln. It takes up to 1 week (although it can be longer during busy periods), but once glazed it will last forever.
our promise
The nature of bisque means it is a fragile material, and sometimes items can crack, or bubble during firing. If this happens, we will, of course, issue you with a voucher to the full value of those items so you can come and have a go at decorating a replacement item.
